Wisdom teeth come out last. Often there is no space left for them. When one pushes against the tooth in front, food and germs collect around it. Then the gum swells up, usually at the worst time.
Not every wisdom tooth has to come out. If yours has come out fully and gives no trouble, we will leave it and tell you so.
When one must come out, we take an X-ray first. It shows the roots and where the nerve runs. Then we numb the area fully. You feel pushing and movement, not pain.
After that, the cheek stays swollen for two or three days. We give you painkillers and written instructions. You can call the clinic any time if something worries you.

No. The pain people connect with a root canal is the infected nerve before treatment. It is not the treatment itself. Once the tooth is numb, the dentist takes that nerve out. Most patients go back to work the same day.
It depends on the treatment and how much work is needed. After the dentist checks you, we give you the full cost in writing before anything starts. Nothing is added later. For bigger work like implants and braces, you can pay in monthly EMI.
